As you are reading this, I am away visiting a friend for the weekend on the coast of North Carolina. I was supposed to actually head out last week, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, my trip was delayed by a week. As luck would have it, though, that gave me just enough extra time to complete a special hostess/early birthday/late anniversary gift for my friend. (Hopefully, I have had time to give it to her before she sees this post!! 🙂 )
My friends loves to takes pictures of the beautiful sunsets in her cute little town of Beaufort, NC. Quite a few of them have boats in the pictures as well, so I thought I would make her this sampler / scrapbook page for her to add one of her sunset pictures and use as a home decor item. You don’t see it here, but I actually put it in a shadow box frame.
The stamp set used was one of my favorites from the brand new catalog that will launch on June 4 called Sailing Home.
I love all the images in this set. It comes in a bundle that included the adorable framelits that you see on the left hand side of the page.
Stampin’ Up!, doing what it does best, also created some Memories & More cards that coordinate beautifully with this whole suite of products that can be used for this purpose, but also for card making as well.
Look at the detail in that laser cut accent. So cool!
I weaved the new Night of Navy/Sahara Sand coordinating Baker’s Twine throughout the page as a little added accent. Did you see the little anchor embellishment at the bottom of the empty space where the photo will go? How cute is that?!? Man, I love these products!
I am really pleased with how this page turned out. Makes me almost want to do a lot more scrapbooking. I hope she likes it!
Have a blessed and fabulous Holiday weekend! See you next time!
