Anyone who knows me, knows that I love animals. There is nothing that makes me smile more than the sweet faces of a dog or cat. I wrote a few previous posts about my own pets, Maggie and O.G. If I’m going to be completely transparent, I have been guilty wasting quite a bit of time watching videos of animals on Facebook or You Tube.
So, of course, whenever there is a stamp set that has animals in it, it is usually added to my collection quickly.
Before this stamp set retires at the end of this month, I wanted to share a few cards using the sweet set Pretty Kitty.
When I cut my card stock for different cards, I always seem to have these small strips of paper left. I usually just throw them away, but decided to try to use them for something for a change.
I created this background by adhering the strips on a diagonal to a sheet of scrap card stock before cutting out with the scalloped framelit. What a great way to use all those seemingly useless strips of card stock.
To continue with the rainbow theme, I stamped just the ball of yarn along the bottom of the paper. I did this by just using the Stampin’ Write Markers to color the ball so I could control where the ink would go.
I colored the sweet kitty using the Stampin’ Blends. I still need to work a bit on my shading, but think she is so cute.
I’ll be showing you another card using this same stamp set on Wednesday, so be sure to stop back then
