Stampin’ Up!’s longest running stamp set is leaving us (sniff!! sniff!!). Lovely as a Tree has been around for years and as I mentioned in Monday’s post, it was one of, if not the first stamp set I bought when I was introduced to Stampin’ Up! products.
I must confess, though, I didn’t use it as often as I probably should have. Maybe I had it in the back of my mind that it would be the one stamp set that would be around forever. But I guess, the old adage is true – every good thing must come to an end.
Since this set is retiring at the end of this month (and is already sold out in several markets but still available – for now – in the US), this will be the last card I will post using this set.
Because of its longevity, Stampin’ Up! paid tribute to it on the Demonstrator Facebook group yesterday. Demonstrators all over the world posted their creations using the stamp set and also told stories relating to it. It was a lot of fun hearing the different memories.
With the nature feel of the images, this card would be perfect for a masculine birthday card, but I think it is lovely enough for the women in your life to enjoy as well (see what I did there?!? 🙂 ).
Even though I probably won’t be posting any samples on my blog with Lovely as a Tree anymore, I’m not sure I’ll be able to part with the stamp set. It will remain in my personal collection of stamps for quite some time, I’m sure.
Do you have this set? If so, show me some of your creations using it. If not – you should not wait a second longer. This is definitely a set worth having and unlike what I thought – it will NOT be available forever. 🙁
