Everyone at one time or another needs someone to lift them up. Whether it is because you had a bad day, or because you are going through a bit of rough patch, or just because you are not feeling the best about yourself.
We also have those few individuals in our lives who play the role of “lifter”. Those individuals may change over the course of years, but God always seems to put someone in your life at just the right time.
There are other times where you may not necessarily need lifting for any particular reason, but when you are with aforementioned individuals, you are lifted up just the same.
That is exactly what happened to me last weekend. I had a friend come in for a visit for the weekend. Spending time with her and another friend most of the weekend was just what I needed without even knowing I needed it.
We spent Friday night and Saturday morning together here in Charlotte and then I drove to Greenville, SC to spend most of Sunday there with them. It was a beautiful day to walk around downtown Greenville and just enjoy our time together.
Today’s card is featuring another favorite retiring set, Lift Me Up, which is very fitting for how I was feeling after my weekend with my two dear friends.
Another #simplestamping card that just used stamps, ink, and paper and a few jeweled rhinestone embellishments.
I used a couple of the retiring In Colors – Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst, along with a touch of Balmy Blue for the clouds.
I certainly pray you all have someone you can thank for lifting you up. Here’s to the lifters in our lives!!
