Last weekend I had my first Christmas card buffet of the season. This works a little differently than my classes. In my regular monthly classes, I generally design four cards and have each card at a different table for the attendees to rotate through the tables.
The Christmas buffet is just that, a buffet of choices. Each attendee picked the card they wanted to make…
..and pulled the corresponding shoe box that contained all the materials needed to make that particular card.
I’ll be featuring three of those cards this week, starting today.
This cards is a very simple card, which was probably the reason it was a favorite among the more beginner stampers.
The wreath was made from the Foil Snowflakes. I just cut out the center using one of the small Layering Circle framelits, but this could also be easily done by just using scissors and following the pattern of the snowflake.
To give some stability to the silver and gold snowflakes, I backed them with a Garden Green card stock ring.
The bow was made from the Mini Tinsel Trim in Real Red. I colored the Rhinestones with a red Sharpie to make the berries.
I stamped the inside using the pine branches from the Christmas Pines stamp set along with another sentiment from the same set.
I know it is a little early to show you Christmas cards, but I figured if Hallmark can start showing their Christmas movies, maybe showing you some Christmas cards would be okay. (Yes, I just publicly admitted that I am a Hallmark movie junkie.)
I promise, I will throw in a non-Christmas card still from time to time before Christmas is actually here. :o) Until then, I hope you enjoy having a little Christmas spirit come you way.
