I have been working on creating several Christmas cards to prepare for my first Christmas card class of the year later this month. Some of them (like yesterday’s card) won’t make the class list, but I still wanted to share them with you here. I haven’t actually decided yet about the card I’m sharing with you today. It definitely will not be part of my October class, but, who knows, it may show up in November.
I used the Flurry of Wishes stamp set from the annual catalog along with the snowflakes from the Seasonal Layers Thinlit dies. If you look closely to the lower left hand corner, you can see where I used the dies to make a few impressions in the window sheet around the perimeter of the card before adding the other elements.
I love the colors of blue, white, and silver together, particularly for Christmas cards. I thought they were perfect for this snow themed card. And just for the record – this is the only kind of snow I can get behind!
And the best part, this card is actually very simple to put together. The window sheet packs a lot of punch all on its own, but the strategically placed dies among the stamped snowflakes makes this card a knock out..
The silver ribbon is just the right subtle touch to finish this card.
So, what do you think? Is this a card you would like to make in one of my card classes? You possibly can. If you’re in or near the Charlotte, NC area, register today for one or all of my card buffets happening over the next couple months. You can find all the details here.
Hope to see you there!
