Welcome to another Take Three Thursday! I can’t wait for you to see the cards I have to share with you today.

I saw Jennifer McGuire use this technique in one of her videos and knew I had to try it.  I don’t remember what she called it, but I’m calling it the Partial Framelit Technique.  This technique uses a framelit in such a way that you are only cutting half of the frame.

Here is the first of three cards using this technique.  I used the stamp set Avant Garden (another set you can earn for free during Sale-A-Bration), stamping the flowers in Peekaboo Peach and Calypso Coral, the leaves with Pear Pizzazz and a little Gorgeous Grunge thrown in.  After cutting half the oval stitched framelit out of Whisper White cardstock, I adhered it to a piece of vellum that was embossed with the Elegant Dots embossing folder. The sentiment was embossed with copper embossing powder.

The next one is very similar, but instead of the oval framelit, I used the circle one. The flowers were stamped in Blushing Bride and Sweet Sugarplum and the sentiment in Archival Black. The vellum on this one was embossed using the Petal Burst embossing folder. I also rounded the corners on this one just for something a little different.

I always like to save the best for last (in my opinion, anyway).  Again, using the circle framelit, I stamped the Best Birds image first in VersaMark ink and then Early Espresso so I could emboss with clear embossing powder. I then used my blender pens to color in the image.

Did you notice??  Take a closer look…I did not emboss the vellum on this one, however, I did add Wink of Stella to give it that sparkle.

These cards were a little more involved, but man, I loved the results, don’t you?

Which is your favorite?

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope to see you back soon!
