I’m winding down my holiday card series. I’ll have one more week to feature another stamp set and then I’ll be moving on to show you some of the new items coming out in the Occasions catalog in January.

But let’s not wish Christmas away too soon…

I want to show you some cards I made with the Christmas Magic stamp set.

I fell in love with this set right away.

I CASEd this first card directly out of the holiday catalog (p.22), switching up the sentiment a bit. This snowman is so adorable, don’t you think?

This one is another CASE from the card found on page 23 of the catalog, but this time I changed it up quite a bit. I stamped two bells instead of just one and changed all the DSP and cardstock behind it. Just an example how a card can inspire you, but you don’t have to copy it exactly.

I created a winter scene using the train from the set in this card.  I combined the Lovely as a Tree set in the background to give the effect that the train was traveling through the woods.

This was done by using the masking technique. You first need to stamp your focal image that you want to be in front; in this case, the train.

Then you stamp the same image on a post it note and cut it out and then place that post it directly on top of the stamped image.

Then you stamp the remaining images around the picture, giving the illusion of being in the background. Pull the post it up and then color and add more detail.  I added dazzling diamonds on the trees and around the train to make it look like snow.

Next week, I will show you cards made with the Santa’s Sleigh stamp set.

Until then…keep on crafting!
