Stampin’ Up! has this great deal going on right now until the end of October.  Buy three packs of Designer Series Paper (DSP) and get the fourth one free (on selective designs).

These are the different designs included in this sale:

Confession time…I’m guilty of buying all the pretty paper because I love, love, love the designs, but then I end up not using it very much. So I decided, in honor of the sale, I was going to feature a couple of the DSP packs that is on sale this week.  So not only do you get to see different ways to use DSP, but I rise to the challenge of actually using it!!

Although I’m using only one pack of DSP today, the ideas I’m going to show you, can really be used with any design.

Today I’m featuring the Floral Boutique DSP.  You can find a suite of products including this DSP on page 77 of the annual catalogue.

The first card I want to share with you is pretty simple. It has just one strip of the DSP across the top and the Thanks from the Hello You Thinlits popped up on top.

I actually cut out the Thanks in such a way so it was still a part of the bottom Night of Navy cardstock. It took some effort to get this effect, but I love how it turned out.

The next card, I cut out some squares and then rounded just two of the corners. I also used the Flourish thinlits for the border and flower.  This idea actually came from a card sketch I found on Pinterest.

And finally, and I think my favorite of the bunch today, I cut out several butterflies from Whisper White cardstock using the Butterflies Thinlits. I then backed those butterflies with a different pattern of the Floral Boutique DSP. Again, a little more effort, but love the outcome.

I hope this gives you a few ideas on how you can use DSP in different ways.  I’ll have more to show you later this week using a different pack that is also part of the promotion.

Until then…keep on crafting!
