Today, I am very excited to participate in the first ever Ultimate Pink Blog Hop
This is a collection of ideas from Stampin’ UP! demonstrators all over the globe featuring shades of pink in honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
I think we all have been impacted in some way by breast cancer and I am honored that I am able to participate in another way to bring awareness.
This week, I’m featuring a stamp set that is typically associated with fall.
The Vintage Leaves stamp set (p. 37, Annual catalog) is another one of my all time favorites. In light of today’s pink theme, I wanted to use this stamp set and demonstrate that you don’t have to just use it for fall.
The first card is a very simple card using just two of the leaf stamps, fanning them out from the sentiment. I didn’t use any special embellishments on this one. In fact, you could make this card as a one-layered card, but I did decide to pop the sentiment up with dimensionals, jut to give it a little added interest.
The next card is a little more involved. I heat embossed the randomly stamped leaves with white embossing powder and then sponged around them using Pink Pirouette and Flirty Flamingo inks. I stamped one of the small die cut leaves on the Dazzling Diamonds glitter paper and I just sponged the other one with the Flirty Flamingo ink.
I love the soft elegant feel of this card
