I actually delayed my purchase of this week’s featured bundle, Paisleys & Posies Stamp Set and Paisley Framelits Dies, but for the life of me I don’t know why I waited so long. This has become one of my favorite stamp sets.

For today’s sample, I used the technique Watercolor lifting.

Using re-inkers…

…and an aqua painter, I painted the watercolor paper background, overlapping the colors for some blending. After the background was completely dry, I stamped the images using VersaMark ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.

Using the aqua painter again, this time with just clear water, I painted over the background again “lifting” the color off the paper. The areas that are protected by the embossing powder, though, remain darker.

I love the soft finished look of this card. I can’t wait to try this technique using other colors and stamp sets.

Be sure to come back for more examples using this bundle next time.

Until then…keep on crafting!
