Happy Monday, all! I hope you all had a great weekend! I really cannot believe we are more than half way through September already.

September is one of my favorite months! Not only is it my birthday month, but the weather is absolutely gorgeous here in the Carolinas.  Although it is still pretty warm (some would say hot), it is much less humid. The skies are still that Carolina blue and filled with lots of sunshine.

Because of this, I decided to feature the Sunshine Sayings Stamp Set (p. 97, Annual catalog) and Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies (p. 194, Annual catalog) this week.

You can purchase these separately, or you can purchase them as a bundle (p. 97, Annual catalog) and save 10%. Who doesn’t like to save?

Ready to see some cards using this bundle?

This first one is a simple card using the stained glass window technique.  I embossed the images on vellum cardstock and then colored the images on the back side of the vellum so the color would show through on the front. So easy to do, but such a beautiful result.

I embossed the next card as well, but on shimmery white cardstock. I then sponged color over the embossing making this beautiful background. This is called the Emboss Resist technique.  A little more effort, but gorgeous impact.

I also used the Bold Butterfly Framelits (P. 197, Annual catalog) on this card.

I cut the small butterflies out and stamped the whole die cut using Versa Mark ink and then embossed them with the new Copper embossing powder (p. 181, Annual catalog).

Although we are moving into fall, I guess I wanted to hold on to summer just a little while longer with these cards.

Come back next time for some more examples using the Sunshine Sayings bundle.

Until next time…keep on crafting!!
