Washi Tape is a pretty inexpensive way to embellish your cards. I have a bunch of it, but I always forget to use it. I also have a hard time figuring out what to do with it other than just using it as borders on my cards. Today’s card is a challenge to myself to use it in a different way.

I adhered several different patterns of washi tape across Whisper White cardstock. Then I used the Leaflet Framelits to cut out the maple leaf and popped it off the background using dimensionals. I cut the same leaf out of a Blackberry Bliss piece of cardstock to put behind the washi tape leaf and cut the corners using the Curvy Corner Trio Punch. The kraft cardstock background is embossed with the Woodgrain embossing folder

I finished it off with Blackberry Bliss Satin Ribbon. The “A Little Thanks” sentiment is from One Big Meaning stamp set and stamped in Blackberry Bliss on Very Vanilla cardstock. I punched it out using the Word Window Punch and popped it up on a Very Vanilla cardstock punched with the Washit Label punch and sponged with Blackberry Bliss.

To tie the inside of the card with the outside, I used Very Vanilla cardstock and cut the corners with the same punch and sponged around the edges with Blackberry Bliss.

Very simple card that came together pretty quickly.
